Masih ku nda faham & bangang sampai ani. Napa Sumolah inda berapa menyerlah as other Afdlin's movies? Sbb movie ani mcm ada unsur2 ganas sbb ia sumo? Atau kurang publisiti? Atau org melayu sendiri nda mau meliat filem melayu?

Pnah ku btanya arah sorang ani, "Kenal Afdlin Shauki?". Kira atu as a start lah to promote Sumolah. Skali katanya, "Ahhhh AF thingy, I dont give a damn". Fine. And when I told him who Afdlin is he replied, "Nuts to him. Malay movies like cicakman are a waste". Well, I'm not here to comment on Cicakman. I've watched the movie myself. Since aku pun minat KRU so I didn't give a bad review lah last time.

But. WASTE? Well, in certain cases banar plg watching malay movies are a waste sbb ada tia sikit2 ada polis, sikit2 kisah cinta yg predictable, sikit2 ceta antu, sikit2...lama2 jadi bukit bad reviews pasal malay movie ani. But personally lah, semenjak aku kena KODOK ani, Afdlin's movies are NEVER a waste. Not only his own movies, ada jua movies yg ia belakon jua like Soal Hati & Soalnya Siapa (walaupun aku inda suka Erra, I dunno why). Look at Buli, mana org lupa kan scene AC Mizal dgn lagu Kau Kunci Cintaku. Look at Buli Balik, mana org lupa kan kisah c Nordin kena karan. Look at Baik Punya Cilok, Awie is totally different dlm atu, puitis segala! And now Sumolah, IT IS DIFFERENT people!

Wow. That was so defensive of me tapi banar. I don't get it lah. Why are people not watching such a good movie. Well, banar plg pemikiran org nda sama. As an example, some people puji berabis ceta Sepet & Gubra but to me it was boring. There u go, pemahaman & penerimaan nda sama. Fine. I rest my case.

Filem melayu yg I enjoyed so far since Man Laksa are Cinta and Sumolah. Seriously, even setampik tangan pun masih dpt mengira filem2 melayu yg bisai. I heard this many times, "cemana org melayu ani kan maju?". Mindset. Org melayu sendiri nda meyokong org melayu. One observation at a cinema, "Eh nda tani ampit seats meliat *tut*, meliat *tut*tut* saja tani eh". Then came the reply, "malas tah ku kan meliat *tut*tut* eh ceta melayu kali ah buang duit saja, baik tah ku nunggu next show". See what I am trying to prove here?

Bukan maksud kan memuji Sumolah too much but here I go again, why why why whyyyyy org nda mau meliat Sumolah when it is a gooooooooooood movie. 2 kali udah ku meliat and masa ku meliat atu I was IN MY OWN WORLD. Mcm aku dlm scene Sumolah atu. Thats how blend in I was into that movie.

Note to Afdlin: Nokotta Cip! It may be a struggle to you. We will always support you. Kodoks kali ah! We love you! Hehe...Cip Kodok's smile is always the cutest smile.
